Kinder and First Grade class will learn about Romare Bearden. We will discuss how many art historians consider Romare Bearden to be one of America’s most important and inventive artists. Bearden loved collage, combining painting, magazine clippings, old paper and fabric together like a jigsaw puzzle. This project gives a nod to Bearden’s love of photos and texture.
Nursery and Pre-K will have the opportunity to self-direct creative experiments in mark making and construction with a variety of materials made available each day in the “art center” in the Nursery/Pre K classroom.
